1. Who we are

Host Guia is a digital welcome guide service for vacation rental hosts. The data controller is Host Guia (contact: hola@hostguia.com).

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email address and password when you sign up.
Guide data: name, address, Wi-Fi, check-out instructions and recommendations that you enter voluntarily.
Guest data: the guest’s optional name when you create a stay. Anonymous guests do not need to register.
Usage data: guide opens, sections and useful actions linked to an anonymous session or a personalized stay. We do not store copied codes, Wi-Fi passwords or IP addresses in these events.
Payment data: processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store card details.

3. How we use your data

To provide and improve the service.
To send you transactional account emails.
Billing and subscription plan management.
Aggregated usage analysis to improve the product.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Processing is based on the performance of the contract (providing the service), legitimate interest (security and product improvement) and consent (marketing communications, where applicable).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with necessary providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email) and Vercel (hosting). As with any web service, our hosting provider automatically records the IP address of each request in its technical infrastructure logs (security and abuse prevention); our application does not store that IP in the guest or host database.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile: when you do, we immediately delete your guides, recommendations, stays, photos and personally identifiable data, and cancel any active subscription. Billing records (Stripe invoices) are kept in anonymized form for as long as applicable tax law requires.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data and to object to its processing. You can delete your account directly from Settings → Profile, or exercise any of these rights by writing to hola@hostguia.com.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies: the session for authentication and the language you choose for the interface. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising.

9. Changes to this policy

We will notify relevant changes by email. Continued use of the service after the notice constitutes acceptance.
